Membership Join/Renew Information
How to Join
You can join BVDC or renew your membership on-line by clicking here. To be included in the annual printed directory, you must join/renew by the last day of March.
Membership runs from March 1 through the following February regardless of the month in which an individual or entity joins. Membership fee is the same price regardless of the month the individual or entity becomes a member. Membership shall automatically terminate for members whose dues remain unpaid 30 days after March 1 of any year.
Individual Memberships - 2025 Rates (same as 2024 rates)
Individual Member w/ electronic newsletter and paper & online directory: $25.
Lifetime Individual Member w/ electronic newsletter and paper & online directory: $250.
Individual Member w/ paper newsletter and paper & online directory: $60.
Family/Group Memberships - 2025 Rates (same as 2024 rates)

Newsletter Information
Monthly Newsletter & D-Lines (Electronic Newsletter)
All members in good standing receive the club newsletter “Driving Lines” published monthly and distributed electronically via download from the website (or optionally in paper format mailed to you for additional cost).
To view the newsletter, you will need the free Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer. When the monthly newsletter is available, download subscribers will receive an e-mail with the link to the download page, at which time the file may be downloaded and saved and/or printed. Members who elect to receive their newsletter electronically will NOT receive a paper copy through the U.S. Mail but will have access to the newsletter about two weeks before the U.S. Mail copy is delivered to others. You must be a member in good standing of the Brandywine Valley Driving Club to subscribe. You can subscribe to receive the newsletter electronically by sending an email message to the BVDC Membership Chairperson with your membership name in the message body.

E-Lines Information
E-Lines
The Brandywine Valley Driving Club website is pleased to provide a supplemental club news service known as "E-Lines". E-Lines is a members-only service.
To subscribe, send an e-mail with your membership name in the message body to BVDC Membership Chairperson. In the message body, type your name as it appears in the membership directory. When your name has been validated and you are added to the mailing list, you will receive an e-mail acknowledging your subscription.
Although it is the club's main goal to contact all members via our newsletter and provide new information on the web site and Facebook, there are times when immediate e-mail contacts are very beneficial.
This is not a "listserv" and therefore does not result in an abundance of e-mails. Nor can members post to the rest of the members on the list. However, it is a means by which we can get word out to subscribing members on short notice.
Directory Information
Membership Directory
Our Membership Directory is available on-line and in paper format. This member directory information is available only to active members in either format.
The BVDC Online Directory contains contact information for all Active BVDC Members (except for those who asked not to be posted). It is updated monthly so it is more current than the Paper Directory which is printed only once a year. The on-line Directory is password protected. All Active Members will receive their personal Username/Password. Members must logon with these credentials each time they use the Online Directory. The Username/Password will remain active so long as the member renews their membership annually.
After you login to the Directory:
You can look up Individual Listings or scroll through the Full Directory.
You can check your own listing(s) and see when your membership expires.
You can usually send an email to the member by clicking their email address
The email address will be "live" for most browsers - just click and it will launch an email.
If the email address is not "live" in your browser, just copy/paste it into the "To:" line of your email.
You can print the Full Directory pages, but since all printers render pages differently, some listings may be split between two pages.

BVDC Minutes Archive Information
Board Meeting Minutes Archive
BVDC members have access to the archive of approved BVDC Board Meeting Minutes (note: Board meetings are held every other month starting in January). All minutes from Jan 2018 onward will be available (minutes before 2018 were included in the newsletter).
Minutes are archived at the Members Only Portal so that the general public does not have access to them. Please do not share our Minutes with non-members!
You are able to view, download, or print the Minutes files (they are in PDF format).

Trot & Track Information
Trot & Track Program
The BVDC “Trot & Track” program is for all who drive. In this program, you keep a record of the time you spend driving your horse or pony, and goal-hours achievement will be recognized at 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, 750, and 1000 hours of driving time for the same driver-horse/pony combination. Any time you spend driving, EXCEPT shows and other competitions, will count towards your “Trot & Track” hours. The hours you track do not have to be related to a club-organized activity. The “Trot & Track” program allows members from all over to participate at their convenience. Hours continue to accumulate in subsequent years. Awards (detailed below) are given at the end of the year at the Annual General Membership Meeting & Holiday Party in December.

Ribbons awarded at 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, 750, 1000 hours for SAME driver-horse/pony combination.
Driving Essentials Gift Certificates also awarded at these milestones:
500 hrs: $25
750 hrs: $50
1000 hrs: $75

Suzy Stafford Cones Performance Award Information
Suzy Stafford Cones Performance Award
This annual award is based on your placings in any cones class at any show (not just BVDC events) during the current award year.
The Award is a $50 gift certificate from Driving Essentials and a Championship ribbon.
Rules:
1. The driver must be an Active member of BVDC at the time scores are earned.
2. Drivers must complete and submit the tracking form with all the appropriate information. Submitted points may be validated at random by the Points Secretary.
3. The awards year begins on November 1st every year and ends on October 31st. Results from shows held during this period must be submitted on the form by November 15th of the current year. The annual award winner will be announced and presented at the annual BVDC Holiday Party in December.
4. Up to a maximum of 10 classes can be submitted each year, so pick those classes that you placed highest in.
5. Each driver & horse combination or team of horses requires a separate entry.

Points are based on your placing in the class, the affiliation of the show (BVDC, ADS, USEF, etc.), and the number of competitors in the class. The tracking form explains how to calculate your points.
