Equine Gastric Ulcer Syndrome (EGUS)

Dr. Rule discusses the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of gastric ulcers in horses. She explains the different types of gastric ulcers and why appropriate diagnosis is important for developing a successful treatment program. 

Dr. Emily Rule graduated from the University of Pennsylvania's School of Veterinary Medicine. After completing a one-year rotating internship at Blue Ridge Equine Clinic in Virginia, she returned to the University of Pennsylvania where she completed a two-year ABVP residency in Equine Practice with New Bolton Center's Field Service. Following the completion of her residency, Emily remained at New Bolton Center as an Assistant Professor of Equine Field Service. Emily enjoys all aspects of general equine practice including sports medicine and diagnostic imaging, dentistry, reproduction and preventative care.
